Member of the Academy of Catalan Cinematographic Arts and Sciences. I was awarded with two “Biznaga” awards for the Best Film Editing and the Best Cinematography at the Málaga Film Festival for the film AYER NO TERMINA NUNCA (2013), directed by the internationally acclaimed director Isabel Coixet with whom I started an extense collaboration:
As a Film Editor of the eight-episode HBO fiction series FOODIE LOVE (2019) with Laia Costa and Guillermo Pfening, the film produced by Pedro Almodovar’s El Deseo IT SNOWS IN BENIDORM (2020) with Timothy Spall, Sarita Choudhury, Pedro Casablanc, Carmen Machi and Ana Torrent, or the recent UN AMOR (2023), with what I have been Nominated for the Best Film Editing in the last Platino Awards of Ibero-American Cinema.
As a Director of Photography, filming several documentaries and fiction films with international top actors and actresses like Javier Cámara and Candela Peña in AYER NO TERMINA NUNCA (2013), Juliette Binoche, Rinko Kikuchi and Gabriel Byrne in ENDLESS NIGHT (2015) as second unit Cinematographer, Emily Mortimer, Patricia Clarkson and Bill Nighy in THE BOOKSHOP (2017), as second unit Cinematographer, or Laia Costa, Hovik Keuchkerian, Hugo Silva, Luis Bermejo, Ingrid García Jonsson and Francesco Carril in UN AMOR (2023), as second unit Cinematographer.
Member of AMMAC (Catalan Film Editor’s Association), I’ve been the Associate Editor of the film LA CONTADORA DE PELÍCULAS (2023) by Lone Scherfig, and I have worked as both Cinematographer and Film Editor with international directors such as Adrian Bol, Claire Elizabeth Terry, Ashim Bhalla, Stany Coppet, Marta Bayarri, Manuel Outumuro, Rafa Russo, Alex Hevia or José María Zavala.
Thanks to my early musical studies at the Music Conservatory of Barcelona and my extensive artistic, technical and creative knowledge (graduate in Applied Arts followed by twenty years as Creative Director and a long career as a Photographer), I have developed an enormous sensitivity and a solid critical sense that allow me to undertake projects of all kinds in fiction, documentary or advertising, with intuition and flexibility. Always providing the highest narrative quality.
As a Director of Photography my palette shapes organic and evocative universes usually inspired by real paintings where I find the energy desired for each scene.
As an Editor, I immerse myself in history feeling the heartbeat of each character and shaping their complexity through stratified emotional landscapes.
I have experience with all the professional editing software: Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro X, and I can move to the production preferred postproduction company or work remotely from my own editing room at one hour from Barcelona (Spain).
